What is a baby pigeon called?

A baby pigeon is called a squab. Squabs are born blind and naked, with their eyes closed and no feathers. They are entirely dependent on their parents for food and care. Baby pigeons typically spend around 4 weeks in the nest before fledging and becoming independent. During this time, they are fed crop milk, a nutritious fluid produced by their parents. Squabs grow rapidly and develop feathers within a few weeks, gradually gaining the ability to fly and fend for themselves.
